Giving Back to Our Community
We believe that both our business and we as people have an ethical responsibility to give back to our communities.
If there’s a local fundraising or mentorship opportunity or a need for volunteers to support a local cause, our neighbors know they can call on us for donations of both time and dollars or an extra pair of hands.
Through our Adaptive Diving program, we’re reaching out to those with unique challenges who not only are turned down for training by most dive shops, but who are also then priced out ( due to a need for longer training time) and may be unable to afford equipment and classes. In addition, we will be participating in an inspirational film this summer.
We also volunteer our time more broadly throughout the diving community, participating in debris cleanups, moderating a women’s diving Facebook group and later this year we will be participating in a program working with at-risk youth, introducing them to scuba.
Whether working for other companies, as independent dive pros or just as private citizens, these are some of the causes to which we’ve donated our time or dollars. Feel free to contact Lisa if you have a cause that needs our support. Stay tuned to see what’s next!
