Why We’re Different
Scuba by Design is local family owned and instructor operated. We are 6th generation Island visitors/ 2nd generation residents with a passion for sharing our love for diving with our customers. Diving is an amazing family opportunity to discover new adventures together. We are blessed to be able to experience the magic of the Casino Point Dive Park daily and believe our whole job is to spread that joy.
Our growing team is a collaborative group of independent PADI pros working together to make a difference. Each of us comes to the table with a unique skillset, background and focus. Together we’re creating a community of inclusivity with a focus on ocean sustainability, proving that scuba is open and welcoming to all.
We pay attention to the details. Even our logo is reflective of who we are and what we stand for. Entwined kelp vines curl around to shape an ocean wave in watercolor, signifying our environmental commitment. The vines are filled with a mosaic that while artistic, also represents that we all might be a little broken but it’s how we put ourselves back together again that allows us to shine – just as we offer both Concierge and Adaptive Diving. At the center is our island home with a dive flag.
Our Approach

Together, we’ll create a relationship that fosters your growth as a self-confident, safety-conscious diver, setting and achieving goals, mastering something you never thought you could do in a million years. Here, everyone is treated with respect, patience, empathy and kindness.
Designing Your Own Experience
No more rushing around or being lumped together with divers with vastly different diving needs, experience or interests. We offer half- or full-day packages led by a local professional dedicated to just you and your small group – everything is done in your own time, at your own pace.
Whether it’s a day of fun, trying scuba for the first time or taking the plunge to get certified, we create a custom adventure just for you.
Concierge Diving
We provide everything you need, from quality high-end gear to shade, mats and chairs – even locked storage for your valuables and fresh water to rinse off your own gear plus options for catered lunches during your surface interval.
We offer local travel arrangement assistance too. Just give us a call and we’ll help you choose where to stay and figure out which transportation options best fit your needs.
Adaptive Diving
We are the only company on the Island with an Adaptive Diving program.
Underwater, everyone is equal. It doesn’t matter that you have cognitive or developmental concerns, need support for stress and anxiety or have physical challenges. Adaptive diving is a holistic approach: diving adapts to you and your needs. Some adaptive techniques are just more visible than others.

We can make a difference for ocean protection every time we dive. Everything we do is centered around sustainability. Whether it’s reducing our impact by making sure our products and gear are eco-friendly or joining in ocean conservation efforts, we take our personal responsibility as divers seriously.
Giving Back
We believe that our business has an ethical responsibility to give back to our community.
If there’s a local fundraising or mentorship opportunity or a need for volunteers to support a local cause, our neighbors know they can call on us for donations of both time and dollars or an extra pair of hands. We show up.
