How to Find Us
We are located at the Casino Point Dive Park which is conveniently located in Avalon, just minutes from the ferry terminal (on the peninsula at Cabrillo Mole) and just a bit father from the heliport (the other direction from town at Pebbly Beach). As you arrive you can’t miss the iconic Casino building on the right side of Avalon Harbor which overlooks the Park.
Fold out maps of Avalon are available at the ferry terminals and at the Visitor Information Center on the bright green Pleasure Pier in the center of town, but we have a downloadable version for your convenience.
From the Ferry Terminal
Walking
Facing toward town, you’ll walk along the waterfront (Crescent Ave.) which curves through town and around the bay to the Casino. It takes about 10 minutes and is flat with a paved pedestrian walkway. The Dive Park is behind the building.
Taxis and Seaside Transit
There is one taxi company in Avalon, and their white vans are easily recognizable. COAST (City of Avalon Seaside Transit) is the City of Avalon’s public transportation system – think of it as our version of Uber!
Catalina Taxi and Tours – 310.510.0025
Taxis are available right at the ferry dock and can bring you directly to your hotel or to the Park for around $15. Reservations are not required, and wheelchairs may be folded and placed in the cargo area.
COAST – City of Avalon Seaside Transit – 424.377.2926
COAST is available wherever you are and will take you wherever you want to go in town, starting at $2 per person. Just download the Ride Circuit app in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. You can also call Circuit’s dedicated call center or visit ridecircuit.com for more information. COAST operates seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
Hotel Shuttles and Baggage Service
Some hotels offer a shuttle to their location – contact your hotel to see if one is available. Shuttles will also meet you right at the ferry dock.
Avalon Blue Line Baggage Service – 310.510.9599
If you’d prefer to walk but don’t want to drag your gear or luggage with you, the baggage service will drop it off at the Dive Park. (They’ll also pick it up for you after you’re done for the day and take it back to the ferry terminal if you’re just doing a day trip.) Check their website for applicable rates.
From the Heliport
The Island Express Heliport is located at Pebbly Beach, about a mile outside of town.
Catalina Taxi and Tours – 310.510.0143
Catalina Taxi and Tours will transport you from Pebbly Beach to and from your hotel or the Park. Rates vary – call them to confirm.
Accessibility
The downtown area of Avalon all the way to the Dive Park is primarily flat and paved. However, the town is built up vertically with some steep streets. If you have questions or concerns, please call or email us to discuss as we may have additional options available depending on your unique situation.

COAST has five, five passenger GEM e6 shuttles, one 10 passenger Ford E-Transit Van, and one 7 passenger Ford E-Transit Van. ADA-accessible shuttles are available upon request through the mobile app. These shuttles can accommodate one person in a wheelchair and up to four additional passengers.
At the Park
Once you get to the Park, you’ll see us straight ahead on the right, with a large blue pop-up tent and a big green truck, both with the Scuba by Design logo on the side.
